TRAPT, SMASH MOUTH, BUCKCHERRY To Play Sturgis Buffalo Fest with No Masks or Social Distancing Required

The Sturgis Buffalo Chip Rally in Sturgis, SD is still a go for this August. The rally will feature performances from Smash Mouth, Trapt, Adelita's Way, Buckcherry, Drowning Pool, Lit, Quiet Riot, Saving Abel, Night Ranger, and way more.

According to The PRP, the Sturgis city council came out in support of the rally last month, but laid out some personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines for staff and vendors.

Unfortunately The PRP also reports that numerous outlets have since pointed out that masks and social distancing practices will not be required for attendees. Because apparently it’s damn near impossible not to be stupid, right? Though what else would you expect from a festival where Trapt is playing.
Artists like Willie Nelson, ZZ Top, Puddle Of Mudd have dropped off since the initial announcement, likely because it might not be the best idea to throw a large gathering in the middle of a pandemic that warns against large gatherings.
South Dakota has 8,077 COVID-19 cases reported and 119 deaths. Learn more about the Sturgis Buffalo Chip Rally here.
